Wouldn’t that require that the fertiliser is applied in granular form and needs to be brushed into the rootzone? Liquid fert applied to leaves is also absorbed by Poa ?!
It's not really about the nitrogen specifically. When Poa is denied P and K, it will not compete well with bentgrass. By only applying AmS, we are lowering the amount of P and K in the soil, we are also making the soil more acid, even if very slowly. All of this makes it difficult for Poa to compete and gives the bent a competitive advantage.
