Dr. Peter Dernoeden was always a great advocate of ammonia sulphate as the N source in bent grass green management …it works. Grow the bent grass and one will not need to worry about the Poa annua… less is more.
Totally agree with you. If you are growing the bent in the right way, the Poa likely won't be an issue. Of course, there are places in world where it isn't the right grass, but where it is, the solution is pretty simple.
